The three day festival was organized by the Ningbo government and the Department for Culture and Tourism of the Zhejiang province from 7 June on the Laowaitan in Ningbo. More than a hundred stalls lined the waterfront and offered traditional food and beverages from the Central and Eastern European countries as well as selected specialties from the Zhejiang province. Visitors to the Czech stall could taste selected Czech food accompanied by Czech beer.

Czech Republic played a major part in the event. through a dedicated section titled „Midsummer in Prague“ where guest could learn more about Czech culture, tradition and history or how to properly pour Czech Pilsner Urquell beer. Visitors could also sit down and relax while listening to live music and enjoying barbeque paired with Czech beer, wine and other beverages.

The whole event had considerable media coverage from national and local television and radio stations.
