Zhejiang-Czech Education Cooperation & Partnership conference

Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai and several Czech universities participated in the Zhejiang-Czech Education Cooperation & Partnership conference in Ningbo

On June 9, Ningbo City Education Authority, together with the Association for International Exchange and Education of Zhejiang Province, organized a China (Ningbo) – CEEC Education Cooperation Exchange Conference. The event aimed to deepen mutual cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and to establish new strategic partnerships for the mutual exchange of practices and solutions in the field of education.

A total of six cooperation agreements were signed and 6 new projects were presented. This included a new project for student exchanges between Zhejiang Wanli University and Hradec Králové University under the New Silk Road initiative.

Second part of the conference focused on Zhejiang-Czech Education Cooperation & Partnership and participants included representatives from 30 universities from Zhejiang. Simona Richterová from the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai delivered an extensive presentation on the structure and system of Czech higher education; inter-university agreements under which student exchanges are possible, and introduced selected Czech universities listed on prestigious international rankings. The presentation was followed by online live entries from the Czech Republic by representatives of Charles University, University of Finance and Administration, Technical University of Liberec and Hradec Králové University who introduced their universities.
