VISA SERVICES FULLY RESUMED

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai has resumed full visa services as of April 9th, 2022. Restrictions on visa issuance and travel stemming from the Protective Measure of the Ministry of Health have been lifted. It is now possible to apply for visas and travel to the Czech Republic as before the pandemics.


Long-term Visas and Residence Permits

Fully restored.

Short-term (Schengen) Visa

Fully restored.

If the Czech Republic is the only country or the main destination of your visit, you may apply for a visa through the VFS Global visa centers, which are located in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing.

The Czech visa application centers operated by VFS Global in Hangzhou and Nanjing remain closed until further notice. You can currently only apply at the Visa Center in Shanghai.

Passport return: 09:00-12:00 Tuesday & Thursday (except public holidays)

Based on what is mentioned above it is not possible to apply for the Schengen visa directly at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai. Exceptions are the Family members of EU citizens who, in addition to submitting their application at the Visa Center, can also use the possibility of submission directly at the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai.
