How and when to book an appointment?

Important: It is the applicant's responsibility to be prepared to submit the application at the appointment given by the Embassy. Therefore, the applicants are advised to only request an appointment when they have all the required documents ready for submission.

The following are the basic rules for requesting an appointment to apply in person at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore:

  • Requests for appointment must be sent exclusively to the special e-mail address singapore.visa@mzv.gov.cz
  • ONLY the unique passport number of the applicant should be included in the subject line of the email. The rule of 1 email = 1 applicant applies, orders for multiple people in one email are also not accepted. The email must always contain additional identifying information about the applicant:
    • first name,
    • last name,
    • date of birth,
    • contact phone,
    • email,
    • indication of the purpose of the stay: employment / seasonal employment (choose one).
  • Attached to the e-mail request must be copies of the following documents (at least 150DPI quality, PDF format):
    • 1. a scanned copy of the data page of the applicant's travel document (in pdf format);
    • 2. a scanned copy of the applicant's Singapore residence permit,
      • IMPORTANT: If the residence permit does not show residence of at least 2 years preceeding the date of e-mail, ANOTHER DOCUMENT proof of this must be ALSO attached;
    • 3. scanned document proving purpose of stay (incl. job vacancy number and employment contract, which both will be presented together with the application).

Without the above, the request is invalid and will be disregarded or discarded from processing without further response to the applicant.

Emails with information other than the passport number itself in the subject line, and emails received in the visa_singapore@mzv.cz mailbox before the start of the appointment booking process (i.e. before the date and time specified above), as well as multiple emails sent by one applicant, will be disregarded and considered invalid.

Requests will be processed by the system chronologically according to the time of receipt. Applications fulfilling all the requirements received before capacity is reached will be answered by automated e-mail and then processed within 7 days. Compliant applications received in excess of the capacity limit will receive an automated response to this effect and will not be given a deadline due to capacity.

The allocated appointments are fixed and intransferable.

The email address singapore.visa@mzv.gov.cz is exclusively for third-country national applicants who are residing in Singapore under a residence permit for more than 2 years to apply for an Employee card. For Singapore nationals, the following email address is available: singapore.consulate@mzv.gov.cz

The above system is in accordance with the provisions of Section 169f of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreigners in the Territory of the Czech Republic and on Amendments to Certain Acts, and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Administrative Court (Judgment of 30 May 2017 No. 10 Azs 153/2016).

General information on the appointment booking system

The following guidelines apply for making an appointment to apply for an Employee card or a Seasonal Employment long-term visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore:

  • No preference can be given to some applications over others, due to the need to comply with the principles of equal treatment of all applicants;
  • The appointment booking system operates on the basis of setting a time of the submission of the request for appointment in the order of delivery of the email until the set capacity of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore is filled for the ordering period, which eliminates the possibility of affecting the registration activity; the system is monitored by the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
  • We strongly recommend to be cautious of offers by various intermediaries offering "guaranteed" or "priority" allocation of dates; in the event of any attempt to disrupt the booking system, the entire booking cycle will be automatically cancelled.
  • Please note that attempts to send registrations in bulk using software tools may be evaluated as spam by the anti-spam security of the mzv.cz domain in order to ensure the functionality of the system for all applicants, as a result of which such registrations will not be taken into account.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore would also like to point out that there is no legal entitlement to be granted a visa and that its visa processing procedure is governed by the applicable Czech and EU regulations governing migration policy.

Due to the significant excess of demand over capacity, it is not within the capacity of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore to accommodate all those interested in applying for an Employee card or a Seasonal Employment long-term visa.

If the capacity of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore to accommodate applications for staff cards for the next period has been filled before your email/appointment is received, please follow the detailed instructions on the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore website if you are still interested in an appointment, and resubmit your request for an appointment to apply for a staff card at the new appointment time.
