Summer School of Archeobotany Prilep 2016

On September 23, 2016 Ambassador Miroslav Rameš met with the Czech and Macedonian participants of the Summer School of Archeobotany Prilep 2016, who during the previous two weeks under the guidance of experienced professors and lecturers from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje received theoretical and practical knowledge from the archeological research of the Neolith in Pelagonia.

The main task of the participants of the school was the separation of the archeobotanical material from the Neolithic site Vrbjanska Chuka, which is the oldest and best preserved seat of culture Porodin. The botanical material that they received will be assessed by the students during the winter months at the Laboratory of Archeobotany and Paleoecology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences with the common seminar along with the Institute of Archeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of South Bohemia.
