H.E. Mr. Miroslav Toman handed over his credentials

The Head of the Diplomatic Mission in Skopje, Ing. Miroslav Toman, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov and therewith took over the official duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Macedonia.
 

During the official ceremony and his brief speech, Ambassador Toman pointed out the excellent mutual relations and cooperation of both countries, for whose further development he plans to make additional efforts, he asked the President for support in this matter and extended the personal greetings of Czech President Zeman. In the end, he wished the President success and good luck to his country and people.

In his reply, President Ivanov cordially welcomed Ambassador Toman to Macedonia and wished him success in the performance of his duties, pointed out the friendly relations of both countries and especially expressed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for the permanent support of the integration efforts of Macedonia into EU and NATO. He pointed out and commended the Czech assistance in solving the migration crisis. In the end he asked the Ambassador to extend his cordial greetings to President Zeman, who he considers a friend and with whom he had an exceptional and productive cooperation.

 

Together with the Head of the Diplomatic Mission during the presentation of the letters of credence was accompanied by his wife Radka Tomanová, Deputy Ambassador Josef Brož and Consul Jan Kouřil.
