Official Visit of Minister of Defense Martin Stropnický

During the official visit to the Republic of Macedonia, the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Martin Stropnický on October 12 and 13, 2016 in Skopje spoke with his Macedonian counterpart Zoran Jolevski and with President Gjorge Ivanov, visited the center for pilot training, was informed about the situation on the Macedonian-Greek border, where he met with the representatives of the 5. contingent of the Czech Police and visited the migrant reception center Vinojug near Gevgelija.
 

During the meetings beside the perspectives on cooperation of the armed forces of both countries, the problems of the migration crisis, regional and global security-political situation were pointed out. Minister Stropnický among the others confirmed that the Czech Republic supports the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the Republic of Macedonia and that it is ready to further help in all aspects with the solving of the incidents of the migration crisis. The Macedonian partners expressed their gratitude for the long-term political, moral, material and staff support which the country receives from the Czech Republic.
