Important Notice!

Due to the critical epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic, a ban of free movement of all persons in the territory of the Czech Republic was established, which comes into force on 22 October 2020.

It is now possible to travel to the Czech Republic only for essential reasons.

It is not possible to travel to the Czech Republic for the purpose of tourism or visiting friends. This applies to persons who could travel to the Czech Republic so far without limitations from countries with a low risk of COVID-19 (i.e. green zone countries). Taking into account the other introduced restrictions (such as closure of hotels and accommodation facilities for tourists or limiting the group size in public spaces to a maximum of two people), it is now possible to travel to the Czech Republic only for essential reasons and this applies for travelling from all countries.

This decision does not affect cross-border workers in any new way.

For those persons, who arrive in the Czech Republic for essential reasons, we recommend the obligations after the entry to the territory of the Czech Republic in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. The obligations include an obligation to fill in the electronic Public Health Passenger Locator Form before the arrival in the Czech Republic and an obligation to undergo an RT-PCR test upon arrival in the Czech Republic.

The ban to the free movement of all persons in the territory of the Czech Republic is valid until 3 November 2020, however, it could be extended.
