Schengen Visa requirements (documents required)

Instructions for those who are not family members of EU/EEA nationals. Please note that only applications with all of the supporting documents as follows will be accepted.

A Visa is an authorisation issued by the representative of the Government of a country permitting a person, not resident in that country, to enter its territory.  Whether you need a visa depends on your purpose of travel and your nationality, click here to check whether you are eligible or require a visa.

If you plan to apply for your Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic, your main destination and the maximum period of stay in the Schengen area must be in the Czech Republic only. Please provide proof to support this information.

Should the duration of the stay be the same in several Schengen States, the Czech Republic must then be the first point of entry.

Applicants are advised,  to apply for the appointment well in advance – it is recommended to send email with appointment request at least 1 month prior to the date of departure and that applicants should allow 15 days for the processing of their applications.
