The transport company in Sofia will acquire a fleet of 18 meters of articulated vehicles of the Škoda 27 Tr type with traction batteries. Thanks to this auxiliary drive, trolleybuses can run even where there are no trolley lines. The new articulated trolleybuses for Sofia can accommodate up to 123 passengers, have comfortable and modern equipment - such as an advanced diagnostic system with remote data transmission, a passenger information system or air conditioning.

"In recent years, the Bulgarian market has been thriving. We delivered fifty articulated low-floor trolleybuses to the capital Sofia for 700 million crowns, and other vehicles can be seen in other Bulgarian cities - Burgas, Varna, Stara Zagora and Pleven. This is a very promising market, where we also see potential in the tram or metro market, "said Zdeněk Meyer, Member of the Board of Directors and Senior Vice President of Sales for the Škoda Transport Group.
