On November 21, 2018, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic was present to sign a contract between Gabrovо and the Czech manufacturer of buses SOR Libchavy, the winner of a public tender for the supply of three new gas buses. Mayor Tanja Christova emphasizes that urban transport should be a priority topic in Bulgaria, and new and environmentally friendly solutions are needed. The purchase of Czech buses is the first step in renewing the public transport and is part of the city's policy to ensure quality and environmentally friendly transport.

During the meeting between the Ambassador of the Czech Republic and the mayor, further possibilities for cooperation between the two countries from the point of view of the town of Gabrovo were discussed, eg the intensification of cooperation between the technical universities in Gabrovo and Liberec in the Czech Republic.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic also met Mrs. Nevena Petkova, the governor of the Gabrovo region, possible meetings between the Czech and the local Bulgarian business were discussed.
