The public tender was won and realized by the exclusive Škoda importer to Bulgaria, the company Euratek Ltd. All the cars were equipped with the special necessary equipment before the award ceremony and they are ideal for the police`s needs.

The importance of the event and the supply of new cars was supported by the personal presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Bojko Borisov, and the Minister of  Interior, Mr. Marin Mladenov, who gave a short speech. In accordance with the custom, the representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church blessed the new vehicles. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Dušan Štrauch briefly talked with high representatives of the Bulgarian government and wished the police many happy kilometers in service ahead with the new Škoda Rapid cars.
