The meeting was also attended by Erasmus students who are currently studying in Sweden, but also by students who have been in the Czech Republic, for example, twenty years ago, at various universities. The first meeting with Swedish Alumni took place at the Embassy in 2022 and was very well received. The House of Foreign Cooperation sent representatives last year and this year and supported the event financially.

The Alumni Programme was established by the House of Foreign Cooperation in accordance with the approved Concept of the Unified Presentation of the Czech Republic Abroad and the Ministry of Education, Czech universities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic hence play the Embassy the key role in it. Cooperation with foreign alumni is one of the priorities of the House of Foreign Cooperation and the Alumni Programme is preparing a range of services and events for alumni that will connect and enable closer contact with the Czech Republic.

The meeting in Stockholm took place in the newly renovated "Pavilion". The attendance at the second meeting was large; around fifty Erasmus alumni and students registered. Those present were welcomed by Ambassador Anita Grmelová, and then introduced the DZS agency by Aneta Sargeant, Head of Study in Czechia, followed by a bingo game and social entertainment with the announcement of the winner of the game and refreshments with Czech beer.

The common denominator of the event was the relationship with the Czech Republic, Alumni are excellent “ambassadors” who spread Czech culture, language, and awareness among the locals and it is useful to "cherish" these contacts. Many have already made contact with each other last year.

According to the House of Foreign Cooperation information, this year there will be local Alumni meetings in Spain, Moldova, Austria, USA and several other countries.
