Ambassador Jiří Šitler visited Blekinge County

Czech Embassy, presiding the Visegrád 4 Group organized with the support of Kateřina Strömsholm, Czech Honorary Consul in Malmö, a joint trip of V4 Ambassadors to Blekinge County from October 7 to October 8, 2019.

Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Hungary, Mr. Jiří Šitler, Mrs. Martina Balunová and Mrs. Adrien Müller and chargé d´affaires of Poland Mrs. Iwona Jablonowska met with Sten Nordin, Governor of Blekinge who accompanied them to the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) and Institute´s Research and Education Clinic. BTH is currently finalizing the cooperation agreement with Silesian University in Opava.
Ambassadors also met with Rune Andersson, one of the most notable Swedish enterpreneurs and among others owner of Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve to see the largest private safari in Northern Europe. Later Ambassadors visited company Roxtec, which is present also in Prague
Governor Nordin hosted a dinner with prominent local businessmen and representatives of local authorities and social life. Next day, Ambassadors visited Karlskrona, the regional capital of Blekinge to meet with City Council members, representatives of Stena Line (operating ferries form Sweden to Europe, frequently used by Czech travellers) and SAAB Kockums (submarine and navy ships producer) and visited renowned Navy museum.
