Visits of the Czech representatives to Sweden

The Delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, led by Lubomír Zaorálek, Chairman of the Committee and Karel Schwarzenberg, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, visited Sweden from March 26 to March 29, 2018. The first day of the visit was dedicated to meetings in Swedish Parliament (Riksdag). The delegation met with their counterparts from Foreign Committee led by Committee Chairman Kenneth G. Forslund as well as with members of the EU Affairs Committee led by its Chairman Jonas Eriksson. Czech parliamentarians were also received by the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin and also by Foreign Minister Margot Wallström. On Wednesday, Mach 28, 2018 the delegation met with Jan Salestrand, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and with Johan Kraft, Head of the EU Section at Prime Minister´s Office.

The President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Milan Štěch, visited Sweden on April 10 - 11, 2018. The President of the Senate, together with his counterpart Urban Ahlin, took part in a memorial meeting in 1968 in the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament). The events of the Prague Spring were one of the themes of Milan Štěch's audience with King Charles XVI Gustav.

Aleš Chmelař, State Secretary for the EU Affairs at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic visited Stockholm on April 26, 2018. He met with his counterpart Hans Dahlgren, State Secretary for the EU at the Office of the Government of Sweden and with representatives of Ministry of Justice.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivo Šrámek attended the Foreign Ministers meeting NB8 + V4 on June 19, 2018 (Nordic and Baltic countries and V4 countries).
