Visits of the Czech representatives to Sweden

Martin Klepetko, Director of Asia Department of Czech MFA met with Ceciclia Ruthström-Ruin, Director General of Asia and Pacific of Swedish MFA and KentHärstedt, Special envoy for Korean Peninsula to discuss North Korea in Stockholm on January 29, 2019.

Deputy Minister of Czech MoD Jakub Landovský had meetings with Jan Olof Lind, State Secretary of Swedish MoD and with Göran Mĺrtensson, Director of Swedish Defense Material Administration (FMV) on margins of the "Swedish - Czech Defense Industry Days 2019" on March 20, 2019.

Radek Policar, Deputy Minister of Health visited Stockholm on April 9-10, 2019 to take part in the Partners Forum of WHO.

Members of Parliament Helena Langšádlová a Pavel Žáček visited Sweden from May 6 to May 8, 2019 as part of NATO Parliamentary Assembly mission to Sweden. They met with Minister Hultqvist, members of Riksdag and visited Swedish International Peace Research Institute.

The Environmental Committee of the Czech Parliament visited Sweden from May 13 to May 17, 2019. The delegation visited Göteborg and Stockholm. They met with members of Göteborg City Hall, Environmental Committee of the Riksdag, Ministry of Climate and Environment, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and visited several collection yards/power-heat plants.

Ministr of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček visited Stockholm on September 9, upon the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Mrs. Margot Wallström.

Aleš Chmelař, Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs participated at the EU-Arctic Forum in Umeå from October 2 to October 4, 2019. The EU Arctic Forum provided an opportunity to assess recent developments in the Arctic and to discuss the challenges ahead.

Štěpán Černý, Director of European Policies Coordination Department at Government Office visited Stockholm from December 17 to December 18, 2019.

 

Visits of the Swedish representatives to the Czech Republic

Andreas von Beckerath, Director of Eastern Europe Department of Swedish MFA visited Prague on March 21, 2019 to discuss issues related to Eastern Europe with  Jakub Karfík, Director of Northern and Eastern Europe Department and Eliška Žigová, Deputy Director of Asia Department of Czech MFA.

Major-General Karl Engelbrektson, Chief of Swedish Army, visited the Czech Republic on April 9, 2019 to meet his counterpart Major-General Josef Kopecký and to visit Česká Zbrojovka.

On April 9, 2019 Radek Vondráček, Speaker of the Czech Parliament had a bilateral meeting with Andreas Norlén, Speaker of the Riksdag on margins of the Speakers of the EU Member States gathering in Vienna.

Helen Eduards, Director General for Europe of Swedish MFA and Eva Sjögren, Director of the European Department at the Office of Government met with Aleš Chmelař, Deputy Minister for European Affairs and Štěpán Černý, Director of EU coordination at the Office of the Government in Prague on April 25, 2019.

Annika Ben David, Swedish Ambassador for Human Rights met David Červenka, Director of HR Dept of Czech MFA and also participated with Aleš Chmelař, Deputy Minister for European Affairs at Prague European Summit on May 28, 2019.

Peter Hultqvist, Swedish Minister of Defense led Swedish business delegation at the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair in Brno from May 30 to May 31, 2019. He also met with his counterpart Lubomír Metnar and also with Karel Havlíček, Minister of Trade and Industry.

Carl Bildt, Former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden participated at Eastern Partnership Conference in Prague on June 4-5, 2019. On this occasion he also met with Tomáš Petříček, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Rupublic.

Hans Dahlgren, Minister for the EU Affairs visited Prague on June 10, 2019 to meet with Aleš Chmelař, Deputy Minister for the EU Affairs and Milena Hrdínková, State Secretary at the Offices of the Government.
