Travel information COVID - 19

Starting from 12. 3. 2021 , Sweden is considered a country with an extreme risk of COVID-19 transmission (dark red).

Current information on travel restriction can be found at the Ministry of the Interior.

 

As a result of the crisis measures issued by the Government of the Czech  Republic it is possible to travel to the Czech Republic only for essential reasons.

It is not possible to travel for the purpose of tourism or visiting friends.

 

Conditions for entry to the Czech territory for citizen of the EU from Sweden :

1. Obligation to undergo  a RT-PCR test 72 hours or less prior to departure to the Czech Republic.

2. Obligation to fill in the electronic Public Health Passenger Locator Form.

3. If requested, obligation to submit a document confirming the filling in of the above mentioned electronic locator form at the border control or residence check.

4. Obligation to undergo a RT-PCR test on own expense at the earliest on the 5th day, but at the latest on the 14th day, from the entry. The result will be submitted automatically to the locally competent regional public health authority via an information system.

5. Self-isolation until the result of the RT-PCR test undergone in the Czech territory is submitted.

There is an obligation to wear respiratory protective equipment (FFP2, KN95, N95, AS/NZ PT, DS FFR).

Transit:

There is an obligation to present a proof of transit.

Transit by air up to 12 hours:

It is obligatory to neither fill in the Public Health Passenger Locator Form prior to the entry, nor to undergo an antigen or RT-PCR test prior or after the entry.

Obligation to wear  a respirator (FFP2, KN95, N95, AS/NZ PT, DS FFR).

Transit by land up to 12 hours:

There is obligation to have a written confirmation from an accredited laboratory of a negative result of an antigen or RT-PCR test before entering the Czech territory. The antigen test must be carried out no more than 24 hours and RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before the beginning of the trip.

Obligation to wear  a respirator (FFP2, KN95, N95, AS/NZ PT, DS FFR).
