Official opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Queenstown

On Thursday, 23 June 2022, the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic was (re)opened in Queenstown, New Zealand, in the presence of Ambassador Tomáš Dub and Consul-General Zuzana Slováková. Lada Nobilisová was inaugurated as Honorary Consul in the presence of representatives of the local administration of Queenstown.

Ambassador Tomáš Dub commented on the opening of the Consulate:

"The establishment or renewal of the Honorary Consulate is a success, as Queenstown and the South Island of New Zealand are very popular and frequently visited by Czech tourists, Czech students come here for long-term working holidays and many Czechs live here. The consulate will not only benefit them by providing consular services, but will also represent the Czech Republic during the upcoming Czech Presidency of the EU Council."

We wish the Honorary Consul every success in her role!
