Reporting duty of foreigners with short stay visa

Here you can find all the information regarding the reporting duty of foreigners in the Czech Republic.

Foreigner who has been granted temporary leave to remain in the Czech Republic without a visa shall be obliged to report to the Police the place of stay in the territory within 30 days from the date of the commencement of stay if the expected stay in the Czech Republic is longer than 30 days unless this obligation is met by the provider of accommodation (hotel, motel, hostel, camp etc.).

Every foreigner residing on the territory of the Czech Republic on a short term (tourist, visitors) visa and who does not stay at commercial accommodation facilities (hotel, hostel, B&B, camp...) has a duty to report within three working days following his/her entry into the territory of the Czech Republic to the locally appropriate authority of the Alien Police of the Czech Republic. Visitors are required to announce the beginning, place and length of a stay.
