Appointment for submitting a visa/residency permit application

Before you start the application process please read the below:

1. Schengen visa:

  • If you are  planning to visit two or more Schengen countries, you shall apply for the visa in the embassy/consulate of the country you will be residing in for most of the traveling days, referred to as the main destination
  • Schengen visa applications can be submitted six months at the earliest and 15 days at the latest ahead of the trip (counted from the appointment date). 
  • Due to the biometric data collection (fingerprints and photographs) and the technical infrastructure, a minimum of fifteen consecutive days is required to process all visa applications
  • The passport must stay at the Embassy / Consulate for the entire duration of the visa application process
  • Please only hand in complete visa applications and supporting documents, the Consulate General  will not accept incomplete applications.

2. Long term visa/residency permit:

  • You can apply for a long term visa/residency permit if you are a citizen of Australia/New Zealand or reside in Australia/New Zealand based on a long term or permanent residency permit.
  •   The foreign national prove their long  term residency in Australia  ba showing the  VEVO - it must proove that you reside in Australia more then 1 year (you might submit also your previous VEVO)
  • The original passport needs to be presented while submitting the application. The passport does not to be kept at the Consulate during processing the application, it will be required for affixing the visa sticker once the application is approved.

Please provide us your:

  • name
  • contact  phone number
  • country that issued your passport (nationality)
  • type of your Australian visa/ residency permit  (VEVO) - for foreign residents of Australia/New Zealand - send  us a copy ) if the VEVO is for less then one year  provide also a previous one)
  • type of visa/residency permit  required

 For Schengen visa application provide also:

  • date of your intended departure and itinerary of your scheduled trip ( the information where the Schengen visa is to be submitted can be found here)

 

The appointments for visa application are mostly arranged on Mondays and Wednesdays.

 

Note for  Australian and New Zealand citizens:  By some  kinds of long term visas and residence permits  the Australian and New Zealand citizens  are allowed to lodge their application without personal attendance (by post).  Please contact  always the visa section by email  in advance for  further details. Please note  also  that an additional summoning of the applicant to the Consulate General for interview/interview may occur.
