Ministry of Industry and Trade is a central body of the government administration responsible for commodity exchange, except issues of the Ministry of Agriculture.

  • Co—ordinates the preparation of the legislation and the Implementation of the European Law within the Ministry´s authority;
  • Co—ordinates the foreign trade policy of the Czech Republic in relation to individual states;
  • Concludes bilateral and multilateral business and economic contracts including commodity contracts;
  • Executes commercial and economic cooperation with EC, EFTA, OECD, WTO and other international organisations and integration groups;
  • Controls and administers activities associated with license regime application within the sphere of economic relations abroad, investigates the dumping of double use of imported products and takes measures to protect against the import of such products.
  • Supervises the execution of inspection in the field of consumer protection and energy industries, the hall marking and the precious metals, weapons and ammunition testing.

Ministry of Agriculture 

Ministry of Agriculture is a central authority of state administration for agriculture excepting preservation of agricultural land fund, for water management excepting preservation of natural water accumulation, preservation of water sources and preservation of water quality, and for food industry.

It is also a central state authority administrating forests, hunting and game keeping and fisheries outside territory of national parks.

The agency is an official contact partner for those foreign companies looking for qualified Czech-based suppliers of products, providers of services or investors. CzechTrade operates worldwide via 47 foreign representatives.
