Invitation to the webinar “AI in Healthcare”

Join our webinar introducing the newest applications of Artificial Inteligence in medicine and healthcare in Czechia and in Taiwan! The event will be held online on 30 March 2022 from 9 to 12 a.m. ( or from 3 to 6 p.m. GMT+8, Taiwan).

Implanting AI into healthcare systems, such as IoT, 5G, algorithm and machine learning, has created positive and significant changes in medical fields. AI improves the efficiency and accuracy of diagnosis, reduces the load of medical personnel, and is cost effective at the same time. The influence of AI can also be seen on personalizing the healthcare plan. AI assists doctors to predict potential diseases and prevent the emergent danger from patients.

Through the development of smart medical care in recent years, the transformation of healthcare moves forward to precision and prevention medicine and to using more and more telemedicine. However, the progress in this direction requires a regulatory framework and access to open data – and this will be the first topic introduced by our experts from the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and National Health Insurance Administration.

With the growing geriatric population and the subsequent increase in the prevalence of cancer and chronic diseases, demands for medical imaging increase dramatically and hence the workloads for physicians. Founder of Taiwan AI Labs and Vice Superintendent of Taipei Veterans General Hospital will share with us their new AI applications in medicine and healthcare already employed in Taiwanese hospitals. For instance, their jointly developed AI-assisted imaging diagnostic model is currently deployed in neuroimaging and chest medicine outpatient clinics. Head of Centre for Biomedical Image Analysis (Masaryk University in Brno) will focuses on the use of AI in oncology in his presentation.

Moreover, the audience will benefit not only from the introduction of the Start-up Ecosystem including investment environment, incentives and international programmes in the Czech Republic and Taiwan but also from the matchmaking session serving as an opportunity to learn more about the innovative solutions offered by Czech and Taiwanese hi-tech companies.
