On the tour, the diplomats visited various farms and producers in Estonia. Firstly, they paid a visit to the Estonian Animal Breeders´ Association near Rapla, followed by an inspection of Väätsa – Agro, which is one of the largest dairy farms in Estonia. In Olustvere manor, which houses School of Service and Rural Economics, various specialities produced in Estonia were introduced (including local fruit wines, sausages, juices and lemonades etc.), but diplomats also had a chance to visit the local craftworks, where e.g. glass is being made.

 BioCC OÜ biotechnology competence centre in Tartu, the penultimate stop of the day, is a place where probiotics are being developed, and diplomats had a chance to taste some of the products enriched with them, such as cheese or chocolate. The day was finished with a diner at beautiful Otepää in southern Estonia.

On the second day, participants paid a visit to Andre cheese farm which represents a small family business, as opposed to their next stop - Epiim, which is one of the biggest cheese, protein powder and butter producers in Estonia, exporting as far as to Japan. Part of the programme was also a discussion about the perspectives of Estonian milk export. 

After an excellent lunch at Põhjaka manor, whose cuisine specializes on using local products only, the final stop of the tour brought the participants to Takkasaare, where the best production farm of 2019 is located.
