Exhibition of Photographs by Dana Kyndrová “Departure of Soviet troops from Czechoslovakia”

This year, the Czech Republic commemorated the 30th anniversary of the departure of Soviet troops from Czechoslovakia. Renowned Czech photographer Dana Kyndrová had the opportunity to get directly into the Soviet barracks on Czechoslovak territory, and in an authentic way captured the atmosphere of the withdrawal of troops.

On the eve of the anniversary of the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact troops (August 21, 1968), the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi installed twenty most interesting black-and-white photographs from the withdrawal of troops, which the author herself selected. The photographs were exhibited in front of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi at 37 Chavchavadze Avenue, where they were on view until September 10, 2021.
