French-Czech breakfast with representatives of Georgian human rights organizations

30 years ago Czech dissidents (including future Czech President Václav Havel) were given the opportunity to have breakfast with French President F. Mitterand and share with him their views on human rights situation in then socialist Czechoslovakia. On the occasion of this event, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi organized breakfast of Georgian human rights NGO representatives with the Ambassador of France Pascal Meunier and Chargé d´Affaires a.i. in Georgia Jiří Preclík on 11th December 2018.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi hosted the following organizations: Transparency International Georgia, Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center, Human Rights House, Georgian Democracy Initiative and Partnership for Human Rights. The discussion was very open and factual and concerned e. g. recent presidential elections, reform of justice, expenditure of EU financial support or situation of most vulnerable groups of Georgian citizens.
