World Refugee Day celebrated in Pankisi Gorge

On Saturday 11 July 2015, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Georgia Tomáš Pernický attended the celebration of the World Refugee Day in the village of Duisi in Pankisi Gorge. The event, organized by the Kakheti Regional Development Foundation with the support of UNHCR, and attended also by the Ambassadors of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Swiss Confederation and the CDA a.i. of the Republic of Lithuania, involved demonstrations of traditional Caucasian sports, folk dances and folk songs of Kists, the Caucasian people living in the Pankisi Gorge.
