Committee on EU Affairs of Czech Republic´s Senate visits Georgia

On 21 – 24 October 2014, a delegation of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, headed by its Chairperson Miroslav Krejča, paid a visit to Georgia.

During their stay, the senators were received by Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia David Usupashvili, held talks with Chairman of the Committee of European Integration of the Parliament of Georgia Victor Dolidze, with Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Tedo Japaridze, Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Zurab Tkemaladze and Head of the Georgia – Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group Ivane Kighuradze. Members of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic were also received by Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Georgia Kakhi Kaladze, State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alex Petriashvili, State Minister of Georgia on Diaspora Issues Gela Dumbadze and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gergia Tamar Beruchashvili. The senators also visited Václav Havel Park in the Vake District of Tbilisi as well as a Home of parents of children with leukemia, which was built thanks to the Czech Republic´s aid.
