Delegation of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited Georgia

The delegation of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic led by Milan Štěch as Vice-President of the Senate and Chairman of the Senate for Rural Development Miroslav Nenutil visited Georgia on 2nd – 5th May 2019.

The delegation was welcomed by the Vice-President of Georgia Zviad Dzidziguri, who appreciated the quality and intensity of relations between Georgia and the Czech Republic and thanked the Czech Republic for its long-term support to Georgia. Further debate was about an improvement of the investment cooperation, issues of rural development, and about hybrid threats for democracy in both countries.

During the visit, the delegation became acquainted with projects of the Czech Development Cooperation realized in the regions of Kakheti, Guria, and Imereti. In these regions, senators met with local and regional authorities.
