World War II veteran Irakli Kandareli receives letter by Czech President Miloš

Irakli Kandareli, the almost 92-year-old World War II veteran, received a letter by President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman from the hands of Ambassador of the Czech Republic Tomáš Pernický in the presence of Mayor of the town of Gori Zurab Jirkvelishvili and Consul Sabina Cingrošová in Gori on 19 October 2015.

In the spring of 1945, Mr. Kandareli took part in the liberation of several Czechoslovak cities, mainly in Northern Moravia and Silesia, and is now the Honorary Citizen of the cities of Ostrava, Olomouc, Opava and others. He expressed his sincere thanks to the President of the Czech Republic, Miloš Zeman, for the letter that pleased him greatly.
