Lauching the laboratory molecular-genetic diagnostic tests for children with leukemia unique in Georgia

On 18 January 2017, Ambassador of the Czech Republic Tomáš Pernický  launched opening of the PCR Molecular Genetics Laboratory, which has been established by the support of the Czech Republic Development Cooperation under the project “New Challenges in Diagnostic Aspects in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in Georgia”. The project has been implemented by the “International Association for Aid to Children Suffering from Leukemia".

The accessibility to accurate and effective diagnosis for patients with Leukemia will be a main result of the active cooperation between the several Czech and Georgian partners. Participation of the Czech hospital Motol enabled performance of  Molecular-genetic diagnostic tests for children with leukemia and lymphoma for the first time in Georgia.
