Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and his wife Monika visited Israel

The couple arrived on a working visit to Israel on Monday evening, February 18, 2019 and was staying in Jerusalem. The Prime Minister's program in Israel was primarily focused on trade and innovation, and before the start of official talks with the Israeli Prime Minister on Tuesday, he visited Mobileye, where he tried to ride in an autonomous car. The main point on the Tuesday agenda were then bilateral talks with the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. B. Netanyahu, and the subsequent lunch with him and the prime ministers of Slovakia and Hungary, which took place at the official residence of the Israeli Prime Minister in Jerusalem.
After the official program ended, Prime Minister Babiš and his wife went on a tour of the Old City, and in the evening Mr. Babiš met with selected representatives of the Israeli trade
On Wednesday, Mr. an Mrs. Babiš observed Jerusalem from the Ester Tower, designed by the Czech architect M. Reiniš. They then left for a visit of the Holocaust Memorial, Yad Vashem. Afterwards the Prime Minister went to Tel Aviv for lunch with representatives of the business and scientific spheres.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister visited the Peres Innovation Center, which specializes in introducing Israeli breakthrough innovations. He then moved to the Agricultural Innovation Institute, Volcani, where he was introduced to the latest innovating technologies used in Israeli agriculture. There was also a discussion on the possibilities of co-operation in the field of medical cannabis.
