Czech Embassy helped by the repatriation of a precious historical manuscript to the Czech Republic.

On January 20, 2016 Ambassador Ivo Schwarz received from Ch. Gertner, Director of the Archives of Yad Vashem, a precious manuscript which was stolen from the Jewish Museum in Prague in 2007. It is a Pinkas of a Jewish community in Gaya from the time 1654 – 1854, which was found in January 2015 in the offer of the auction house in Asufa. Thank the cooperation with the Israeli police and the Yad Vashem Memorial the manuscript could be repatriated to the Czech Republic.
