Concert of Prague String Trio

Czech Embassy and Czech Center are inviting you to a chamber music concert of Prague String Trio, which will be held on 14. 1. 2016, Thursday at 18:30 at the Embassy of the Czech Republic (Zeitlin St. 23, Tel Aviv). Entrance free.

PRAGUE STRING TRIO

 

Prague String Trio, founded in 2012, achieved its first success at the international competition of chamber ensembles Kammermusik Akademie Burg Kniphausen in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. It won the first prize and received invitations for other performances. Critics especially praise the perfect interplay and colourful sound. The Prague String Trio has been invited to major domestic and foreign festivals such as the Ludwig van Beethoven Music Festival in Teplice, International Music Festival Oldenburger Promenade, Burg Kniphausen Music Festival, Brahms Weeks or the Trmice Music Festival. Concerts of Prague String trio are broadcasting by Czech Radio Vltava.

 

PAVEL KIRS- Violin

Pavel Kirs graduated from HAMU in Prague and performed in many countries in Europe, China, Japan and South Korea. In 2014 Pavel Kirs appeared in Brahms violin concerto with NCP Teplice and in Bach’s double concerto with the legendary Czech violinist Václav Hudeček. In 2013 Pavel Kirs was studying in Berlin University of Arts and since 2014 is he studying at Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv towards Artist Diploma, under the tutelage of Prof. Hagai Shaham. In the year 2015/2016 Pavel Kirs is supported by the foundation Life of the artist and the Antonín Dvořák foundation for young artists.

 

SANG-A KIM – Violin

Sang- A Kim graduated from Yon-Sei University in South Korea. Two times she became the winner of a chamber competition in Sun Wha Art high school. In 2001 she won the 2nd prize in Suk-Myung university soloist competition. In 2012 she continued her studies at Universität der Künste in Berlin. In 2013 she appeared as a soloist in Mozart violin concert in Vienna, broadcasted by Austrian radio. In 2014 she has begun her studies towards prestigious Artist Diploma at Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv, under the tutelage of Prof. Hagai Shaham. Last year she was awarded with a price for outstanding studying results.

 

DAVID SCHILL - Viola

David Schill graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Viola. Nowadays David is studying as a postgraduate student at TAU in Israel - the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Viola under the guidance of Mr. Dmitry Ratush. As a soloist and chamber musician, he received an invitation to the Summer Institute & Festival Prague 2013 (PMPIF) and participated in the project Junges Tonkünstler Orchester Bayreuth 2014, Rolando Villazon: Verdi Tour 2013, Ennio Morricone: 50 Years of Music Tour – 2015 and many others. David Schill also applies himself as an orchestral player: Moravian Chamber Orchestra (2006 – 2009), Academic Chamber Soloist (2011 – 2014). Viola Assistance: Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra and Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK.
