Czech students in archeological expedition in Jerusalem

Students of the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University (ETF UK) under the leadership of prof. Martin Prudký and Dr. Filip Čapek participate in archeological expeditions in Israel March 29 - April 12, 2019. The expedition focuses on archeological research in Tel Moca near Jerusalem, where an Iron Age temple was uncovered. The ETF UK students and teachers are also going to Israel in August 2019, when they will join the excavations of the ancient Tel Azeka fortress for the seventh time in the Shefela area. The expeditions are organized in collaboration with Tel Aviv University. Israeli partners highly appreciate the knowledge and experience of the Czech side. Mrs. Veronika Sidó, the press, culture and education attaché of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Israel, met the students and their teachers at the site of the archeological research in Tel Moca April 9.
