Exhibition PRAGUE BY ALŽBĚTA JUNGROVÁ (Gallery On The Fence)

We are inviting you to an exhibition presenting a work by Czech Photographer Alžběta Jungrová who captured the best of Czech capital Prague. The exhibition is organized by Czech Centre Tel Aviv in cooperation with Czech Embassy and is on display from 15.03. to 15.05.2018 in the Gallery On The Fence, 23 Zeitlin, Tel Aviv.

Alžběta Jungrová (1978) studied photography at Graphic School Prague and subsequently started working as a photographer for the main Czech publishing houses. Between 2000 - 2002 she lived abroad - in USA and London, where she worked as an assistant of advertisement photographer Chrise Frazera Smith and Luisa Parry. She also cooperated with Sirena film as film photographer. Since 2007 she works as a freelancer, takes creative pictures in advertisement, reportage, fashion as well as portrait photos.

Main part of her focus is a documentary and reportage photography.  She has an interest in people, their lives and stories for which she traveled the world and often faced risky situations in places such as the largest waste dumps in Cambodia, Chittagong ship breaking yard in Bangladesh, Gaza Strip, Afghanistan–Pakistan border or Nukak tribe territory in the Colombian jungle.

Alžběta received several awards - Czech Press Photo award for her reportage about drugs at the Afghanistan–Pakistan border or UNHCR Award for her series Children Work in Peshawar and Burmese refugee camp in Bangladesh, just to name a few.
