Performance by Czech Philharmonic Quartet and a presentation of a book “Havel: A Life” by M. Žantovský at the Czech Embassy on 26 October 2015

Czech Embassy and Czech Center organized as a part of Václav Havel Week realized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Czechoslovakia and the State of Israel a music-literary evening for Czech compatriots and friends of the Czech Republic which took part at the Embassy of the Czech Republic on 26 October 2015. The event started with the festive unveiling of Menorah by Salvátor Dalí, which will be exhibited for couple of next years at the representative premises of the Embassy. Michael Žantovský, former Czech Ambassador in the State of Israel and the Director of Václav Havel Library in Prague, presented then his newest book “Havel: A Life”. A concert of Czech Philharmonic Quartet followed. The event took place under the presence of Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic Daniel Herman and the compatriots not only from the Tel Aviv area, but also from Haifa, Jerusalem and other parts of Israel.
