Presentation of Ensemble Moscheles at the Czech Embassy

On June 29, 2016 Czech Embassy hosted the launch of Ensemble Moscheles named after Prague composer Isaak Moscheles (1794 – 1870), which was founded in 2014 to promote music by Jewish composers from diaspora as well as modern Israel. Extensive research in archives in Prague and other European countries brought to light many excellent, but almost forgotten works by composers who were celebrities in their time. Ensemble Moscheles wants to revive their music not only in Europe, but also in the State of Israel. The members of Ensemble Moscheles are Tomáš Vinklát/Tomáš Tuláček – violin, Jan Zlámal – cello, Ena Stevanovič/Aneta Majerová – piano.

On the program of concert at the Czech Embassy were works by Carmel Raz, Menachem Zur, Eitan Avitsur and 2 compositions to guess.
