Prokop Bartoníček at the Print Screen Festival

Venue: Holon, 22. – 25. 6. 2016

Prokop Bartoníček belongs to the young generation of contemporary artists who use the latest technological innovations as a natural means of expression. In these days he has been upgrading his project Vibrator, which he will present at the Print Screen Festival in Holon. Event is organized by Czech Centre Tel Aviv in collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic.

Print Screen is Israel's International Digital Arts and Culture Festival, which draws together artists, technologists and digital culture researchers for four days of programming at the Holon Cinematheque in Holon, Israel. Print Screen includes a wide variety of films, contextual programming, interactive presentations, master classes with international artists, workshops, lectures and panel discussions. This year's theme is PLEASURE and we are pleased to have Czech presence!

Prokop Bartoníček was born in Prague in 1983. In the year 2003 he was accepted into the atelier of sculpture of prof. Beranek at UMPRUM. Between the years 2007-2008 he was a student of prof. J. Sauter at UdK Berlin. Presently, he lives and works in Prague, primarily focuses on developing light, interactive and experimental projects such as Vibrator, Mirrsaic - NOW or Jller. 2008-2015 he organized art exhibitions in order to present the Berlin experimental scene in Prague. Furthermore, he has founded a cultural center Ex Post.
