Czech Presidency of the European Union 2022 - Official Event

Starting July 1, 2022, the Czech Republic presides over the Council of the European Union for a period of 6 months. On that occasion, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Israel organized an official event accompanied by handing over the European flag ceremony and opening of the photo exhibition "The Czech Republic: From the Velvet Revolution to the present - a return to democratic Euro-Atlantic structures."

On July 1, 2022, the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv welcomed the Ambassadors of  EU countries and the Ambassador of Ukraine, as well as the representatives of EU cultural institutes, at the official event marking the beginning of the Czech Presidency of the EU. 

Ambassador Martin Stropnický presented the Czech priorities of the Presidency. He took over the European flag from the Ambassador of France Eric Danon, accompanied by Deputy Head of European Delegation in Tel Aviv Benoit Chapas. The photo exhibition "The Czech Republic: From the Velvet Revolution to the Present - Return to Euro-Atlantic Structures" was inaugurated as part of the event.
