A delegation from the Pardubice region visited Israel

On April 8th-11th a delegation of the Pardubice region visited Israel. The delegation consisted of Mr. Martin Netolický, Governor of Pardubice Region, Mr. Dominik Barták, Spokesperson of the Office of Governor, Mr. Jan Foldyna, Member of Regional Assembly, Mr. David Šimek, Member of Regional Assembly, Mr. Jan Procházka, Member of Regional Assembly, Mr. Richard Červenka, Director of Regional Development Agency of the Pardubice Region and Mr. Přemysl Rubeš, Pardubice Business Incubator P-PINK.

The delegation met with Ms. Daniela Kandel, Director of Global Finder Network and Ms. Wendy Singer, Executive Director from Start-Up National Central in Tel Aviv. Start-Up Nation Central (SNC) is a non-profit organization, funded entirely by philanthropy. Its only goal is to create value, by facilitating partnerships that lead to innovative solutions for difficult problems. SNC designs highly customized engagements for business leaders, governments, NGOs, and academic institutions across the globe, connecting them to the solutions they need, and delivering Israeli problem-solving innovations that address their critical and urgent needs.

At the Czech embassy the delegation met with H.E. Ambassador Ivo Schwarz and took part in a meeting with TechKnow – Tech Knowledge Boutique. TechKnow is a business development and consulting boutique specializing in tailor made services for technology companies, organizations and local Authorities. TechKnow uses its in-depth acquaintance and extensive knowledge, contacts and experience in the Israeli technology arena together with detailed business information network in order to provide business development services to technology companies and consulting for local authorities and organizations. TechKnow advise authorities and organizations and giving end-to-end solution suite and practical-operational tools for implementing technologies aimed at improving service to the resident and improving and streamlining work processes at the local Authority.

The next day, the delegation visited hiCenter Ventures in Haifa and met with its CEO Ms. Yael Mittelman. hiCenter Ventures (hiCV) is an entrepreneurial campus providing startup founders in all stages of development with the tools they need to take their ideas from dream to reality. A second meeting in Haifa was with the The Haifa Economic Corporation. The Haifa Economic Corporation invests in high-tech and biotech industries, business and commerce enterprises, high-yield real estate investments, renewable energies, tourism, recreation and sports. High-tech development is a major objective for the Haifa Economic Corporation, aiming to propel Haifa forward as Israel's research and development hub and home to leading international technology companies. On its road to fulfil its vision for Haifa, the Company planned and developed the MATAM Business Park at the city's southern outskirts. The 270,000 m2 complex of built space is rented out to leading international companies, including: Intel, Apple, Elbit, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Yahoo, Philips and more, employing over 10,000 highly skilled workers in the location.
