Visit of the Agricultural Committee, Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic, to Israel

Delegation of the Agricultural Committee, consisting of MoP Mr. Jaroslav Faltýnek, Chairman of the Committee, MoP Mr. Jan Volný, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, MoP Mr. Zdeněk Syblík, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, and MoP Mr. Josef Šenfeld, Member of the Committee visited Israel for bilateral discussions. The objective of the visit was to discuss status and structure of agriculture in both countries, food self-sufficiency in commodities, state subsidies, cooperation in agriculture and expanding the volume of trade.

Delegation met with Mr. Uri Ariel, Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Itzak Ben-David, Senior Deputy Director of Foreign Trade M.K. Eitan Broshi, Member of Economic Affairs Committee, Chair of Agricultural Lobby, with Mr. Avshalom Vilan, Secretary General of Federation of Israeli farmers. Members of Parliament visited livestock farm in Moshav Be'er Tuvia, discussed possible cooperation in agricultural research in Volcani Center. Mr. Samuel Abramson held a lecture on specifics of Israeli Agriculture.
