Czech R&D delegation in Israel

Czech and Israeli scientists are collaborating in the area of sustainable energy: Czech R&D delegation, consisted of 14 leading scientists representing 8 different research institutions, arrived in Israel earlier this week in order to discuss perspective cooperation in the area of sustainable energy, smart batteries, hydrogen technologies, energy efficient buildings, and nanotechnologies for sustainable energy with their Israeli counterparts from Bar Ilan University.

On May 16th, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiří Kozák together with Prof. Shulamit Michaeli, Vice-President of Bar Ilan University for R&D, opened the Czech-Israeli Innovation Forum on Sustainable Energy. The Forum was jointly organized by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Bar Ilan University.

The Czech delegation also visited several leading Israeli start-ups in the field of energy - including Genacell (hydrogen energy) and Electreon (wireless car charging) - and Hadera power plant operated by the Israeli Electric Company.

Special thanks goes to Prof. Eyal Yaniv and Dr. Petr Kaiser for bringing Czech and Israeli research teams together.
