The Embassy of the Czech Republic to Israel took a tour to Negev Bedouin villages

August 30, 2018, The Embassy of the Czech Republic to Israel took a tour to both recognized and unrecognized Negev Bedouin villages - On Thursday, August 30 2018. The tour organized by Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality hosted 17 Diplomats from 13 Delegations from around the world on a tour of the Bedouin townships and villages in the Negev-Naqab. We visited the village of Abu Tlūl aš-Šahbī, a recognized village still facing many problems. We also traveled to the unrecognized village of az-Zarnūg and talked about the demolition policy of the State against Bedouins. We had a traditional lunch hosted by the Zenab Art Gallery. Zenab told us of her journey as a Bedouin women and how she became an academic, an artist and a business woman. The diplomats from Canada, Denmark, EU, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, USA and UK also took part in the tour.
