The Ambassador thanked the Mayor for his warm reception and praised the past cooperation among the Embassy and the municipality, especially in the field of tourism. While confirming the increasing number of the Czech tourists in the northern region of Albania, the Ambassador assessed the longstanding relations among the two friendly countries which this year celebrate 100-th anniversary, and expressed the readiness for future cooperation with the municipality in fields of shared interest.

Ambassador Urban met also the regional Chief of Police Mr. Edmond Sulaj whom the Ambassador thanked personally for the crucial role the regional police played in rescuing the Czech tourists stuck in the Albanian northern Alps during this summer. The Ambassador delivered Letters of Gratitude for the team.
