Minister of Interior J. Hamáček Visited Albania

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic Mr. Jan Hamáček visited Albania on April 8, 2019. During his stay he held a meeting with Mr. Sander Lleshaj, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Albania. The important matter on the agenda of both ministers was Albania’s support during the June´s General Affairs Council in Brussels that will evaluate the country preparedness for opening access negotiations of the country into the EU.
 

During their meeting both ministers discussed strenghtening of co-operation in the fight of organized crime, illegal migration, contacts between traffic police as well as police corps’s professional education. Highly valued is close and professional level of bilateral police co-operation that in recent years has reached new dynamics.

Among the members of Czech delegation was also the Czech Police President Mr. Jan Švejdar as well as General Director of Fire Rescue Team Mr. Drahoslav Ryba.

Despite the current political crisis in Albania, the Czech First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in join press conference with his Albanian counterpart emphasized strong support of the Czech party in the integration ambitions towards the EU of Albania, in quote: „EU integration should be a common future destination for all political stakeholders“.
