Delegation of the Regional Development Organisation of the Moravian-Silesian Regional Government visited Japan

As a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed last June between the Technological agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) and the New Energy Development Organisation (NEDO), a delegation of TACR and the Regional Development Organisation of the Moravian-Silesian Regional Government visited Japan from October 11 to 13.

The Moravian-Silesian Region is situated in the north-eastern part of the Czech Republic and borders with Poland and Slovakia. It is traditionally one of the most industrialized parts of the Czech Republic with significant export capacities which rank it second in this respect. The region also has several universities and remarkable research and innovation capacities. The Regional Development Organisation would like to find a suitable partner in Japan to establish cooperation in this field. During its stay in Japan, the delegation visited Kanagawa Industrial Technology Center in Yokohama, NEDO and NISTEP where it presented the region and its capacities. It also visited the Yamaga Campus of the Keio University and held very interesting talks with three professors of the university.
