The Japanese Prefecture of Oita and the city of Hita help the tornado-affected city of Hodonín

On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, a meeting took place with a representative of Oita Prefecture, who handed over documents to the Czech Embassy in Tokyo concerning a humanitarian donation intended to help to eliminate the consequences of a devastating tornado in South Moravia.
 

Oita Prefecture and the city of Hita, located in this Prefecture, approached the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo immediately after the devastating natural disaster, which occurred in June of this year in the area of ​​South Moravia in a form of a tornado, with the intention of providing a financial humanitarian aid to the affected city of Hodonín with which they have a long-term mutual cooperation.

At the meeting on August 4, 2021, Mr. Eiichiro Kawashima, Deputy Director of the Oita Prefecture Tokyo Office, expressed his deepest condolences to the victims of the disaster and handed over to the Consul of the Embassy, Mrs. Monika Dobiášová, documents concerning humanitarian financial aid for the city of Hodonín, which is intended to eliminate the devastating effects of tornado.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo will hand over the documents to the city of Hodonín.
