Matsushima, Náchod and the 100th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Czech Republic and Japan

A panel exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and Japan is displayed in Matsushima Rikyu in Matsushima city in prefecture Miyagi from  October 16  to 19,  2020.

 

Matsushima Rikyu is a new modern multicultural centre whose dominant is a replica of the tower of Park Hotel built according to the design of the Czech architect Jan Letzel. It is another Czech trace in Japan. It is symbolic that the exhibition is open at the year when we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the mutual diplomatic recognition. The mayor of Nachod city sent a congratulatory greeting to the organisers of the exhibition, reminding the Czech Birthplace of Jan Letzel.
