The Czech Cup presented to the winner of the Spring Grand Sumo Tournament in Osaka

On 26 March 2023, the finals of the Spring Grand Sumo Tournament took place in Osaka, from which the wrestler Kiribayama emerged as the winner. At the closing ceremony, the winner was presented with a diploma and a hand-cut Czech crystal Cup by Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic.
According to a long-standing tradition already established in 1970, the ambassador of the Czech Republic in Japan presents the winner of the Grand Sumo Tournament with a diploma and a hand-cut cup made of Czech crystal. This time, Mr. Ambassador Martin Tomčo was represented at the ceremony by the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Sakai, Mr. Kazumasa Kuzumura, who presented the diploma and the cup to the new sekiwake Kiribayama.
The Mongolian wrestler Kiribayama clinched his first career title on March 26 by defeating Komusubi Daieisho twice on the final day of the Grand Sumo Spring Tournament. Congratulations!
