Kochi prefecture, Kochi city, and even Susaki city are already used to Czech athletes and sportsmen as Czech canoeists regularly train there for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. However now the Czech national softball team headed there together with Czech athletes who are preparing for international tournaments IAAF World Relays Yokohama 2019, that will take place in Yokohama on May the 11th and the 12th 2019.

The Japanese hosts made efforts to prepare a pleasant environment for the sportsmen. They can experience Japanese culture as well as friendly matches with students of Kamibun Elementary and Junior High School that took place on May 7th 2019.

This Elementary and Junior High School has approximately 40 students and all of them went to greet the Czech sports team during a cultural performance and sports competition they prepared for them. Spirits were high and even the mayor of Susaki city came to cheer the teams on as they competed.
